¹ú¼ÊÃ×À¼¶ÔÕó¿ÆĪ

Two ¹ú¼ÊÃ×À¼¶ÔÕó¿ÆĪ institutes have today been confirmed as major research centres by biomedical research charity Wellcome, receiving continued support for a further five years.  The centres will be co-funded by Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and the Medical Research Council (MRC) respectively.

The order in which genetic mutations are acquired determines how an individual cancer behaves, according to research from the ¹ú¼ÊÃ×À¼¶ÔÕó¿ÆĪ, published today in the New England Journal of Medicine.

A new test for blood cancers will catch many more cases than the present test that identifies only 60 per cent.
