Almost 30 years on from the discovery of the genetic defect that causes cystic fibrosis, treatment options are still limited and growing antibiotic resistance presents a grave threat. Now, a team of researchers from across ¹ú¼ÊÃ×À¼¶ÔÕó¿ÆĪ, in a major new centre supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, hopes to turn fortunes around.

The ¹ú¼ÊÃ×À¼¶ÔÕó¿ÆĪ has been awarded £2 million from the UK Medical Research Council and the Government of India’s Department for Biotechnology to develop a partnership with the National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) in Chennai.
